My take on the gender of figures is...the rightside figure looks male. The figure at the back looks like it has a cleft and breasts in other shots. So I think it's alternating men and women. The figure in the foreground has a tiny waist with roundish hips (female). What do you think?
They could be alternating male and female, though all figures - both male and female - have narrow waists and wide hips / ample butts in Minoan art. In color art, the skin color tells us the figure's gender. I have no information about any possible paint residues on this figurine, so that's not an avenue that can help us.
