Reading this gave me a mental picture, Dutch artist Maurits Escher-style: The Fool climbing a never-ending Spiral, until that Spiral (magically) becomes something different. A flock of birds flying off. The illusion has broken, nothing is what it seems. Time to grow wings...

This is the motto of our times, but we need to be mindful that this may include re-visiting old(fashioned) values and ways of living that served our ancestors and that would be helpful to pass on to the next generation.

Definitely! I think that's part of the spiral... connecting back with the past while also moving into the future. Those values and ways of living that served our ancestors will be in a new and different framework now. Old ways of thinking that *don't* serve us should be jettisoned. That's the point - letting go of what no longer works instead of clinging blindly to it just because it's what is already being done. I like the idea of looking back past our current set of expectations and assumptions, to even earlier times where we might find inspiration - the earlier curves of the spiral, so to speak.
