Mondays can be a drag, so I look forward to my Monday morning Tarot card draw as a way of adding a positive spin to my week. Even if Unpleasant Stuff might be coming up, at least I have some insight into how best to deal with it so I don’t feel completely at a loss.
Some Mondays, the cards cheerfully offer me a bit of optimism that I carry around like a jewel in my pocket for the rest of the week. And some Mondays, the cards suggest that there will be challenges to deal with.
Today is the latter.
It doesn’t look terrible - I didn’t pull the Ten of Labryses or the Tower. Both of today’s cards are Minor Arcana, so whatever is coming up won’t be life-altering.
Still, there will be challenges. There will be a need for patience (not my strong suit), delicacy (something I still struggle with from time to time), and out-of-the-box thinking (that, I can do).
When I draw cards that point out a need to focus on things I don’t do well, I do my best to take that as a hint that it’s time to up my game and work on my skills. So that’s how I’m framing this week. I’ll do my best to take a breath, make space for patience and care, and embrace the brainstorming of wild ideas.
How will you face this week’s challenges?
The cards:
Lady of Labryses: The creative thinker. As you puzzle out the solutions to your problems, allow yourself to think outside the box. Yes, some of the ideas you come up with will be impractical and you'll have to set them aside. But the workable solutions that you do find will put you much further ahead than any amount of conventional thinking ever could.
Lady of Horns: Patience and care. Stay grounded. Take the time to examine every angle of the situation and then move forward with slow deliberation, using delicacy and tact. Don't let anyone else push you to move quickly. Take your time, and your patience will be rewarded.
I hope you all have a lovely week!
