For those of you who aren’t yet familiar with my Minoan Tarot deck, Labryses is the Air suit. So what you see above is essentially Death and the Ten of Swords.
Yikes.
However…
I read intuitively, and I got a very specific reading for the Ten of Labryses this time.
That doesn’t mean this week will be easy or pretty. But it won’t be the worst we’ve ever seen.
Maybe you’ve heard the saying, “Walk or be dragged.” Sometimes it’s hard to move forward. We have baggage, trauma, history to deal with, stuff that makes us just want to stay in one place because at least it’s familiar even if it’s not healthy or even comfortable.
And sometimes the Forces of the Universe conspire to drag us to the next square on the game board, whether we want to go or not.
Enter today’s cards.
I’m reminded of the time my surprisingly insightful Offspring looked at the Tower card in a Tarot reading and said, “Sometimes you just have to let the Tower fall.”
I think we’re there.
Today’s cards:
Death: Don't panic! This card doesn't mean you're going to die. It does, however, mean you're about to be faced with change so profound that you can't see what life looks like on the other side of it. This is transformation of the deepest kind. It may mean the end of an era in your life. There's no point fighting it, because it's going to happen no matter what you do.
Ten of Labryses: Everything falls apart. This could mean that the life change that the Death card heralds is so great, the world will never look the same to you again. In the bigger picture, this is a positive thing, even if it's hard to wrap your head around at the moment. Let the old stories fall away, and make room for new ones to be born.
The Minoan Tarot is an 86-card deck I created, with art I drew and painted by hand in the style of the ancient Minoan frescoes. The court cards are gender balanced, and the deck comes in a beautiful box along with a full-color 176-page companion book. The Minoan Tarot website offers photos of many of the cards as well as more details about the deck. It took me three years to create the artwork for the deck; I hope it offers you a lifetime of enjoyment!
Like the sh1t will hit the fan but then it will be over. Phew!
I'm only reading this now and yes, that's exactly what's been happening this week <3
