Last year was challenging for a lot of us, so there’s a lot of “please let 2024 be better” sentiment going around - understandably so.
I didn’t feel quite as festive as usual over the winter holidays this year, and now that they’re over, I’m hoping for a quiet second half of the winter. I bet a lot of you are in the same boat.
What’s that saying about living in interesting times? Yeah, I’d be happy with uninteresting for a while!
Thankfully, the cards have cut us a little slack this week, suggesting that a slow, friendly approach is the best bet right now. That’s often good advice anyway, but after a hectic holiday season, it’s a good way to find a new balance.
So let’s all take the time this week to slow down, appreciate our relationships, and let the world move at whatever pace it wants while we take a deep breath.
Today’s cards:
Priest of Rhytons: It's time to center and value the friendly, warm, supportive and welcoming side of your personality. Your ability to develop real, lasting relationships is a powerful and valuable aspect of your being. It fulfills you while helping others. Dig into it and let it spur you on, as an antidote to the cold impersonality of the Big World.
Lady of Horns: The old joke goes that we practice patience because it doesn't come easy. But patience is especially important right now. Step back, give yourself and others some breathing room, and take a break from trying to control the situation. It will reorganize itself better than you could possibly imagine, and definitely better than you could arrange by trying to push it into a predetermined shape.
The Minoan Tarot is an 86-card deck with art in the style of the ancient Minoan frescoes. The court cards are gender balanced, and the deck comes in a beautiful box along with a full-color 176-page companion book. The Minoan Tarot website offers photos of many of the cards as well as more details about the deck. It took me three years to create the artwork for the deck; I hope it offers you a lifetime of enjoyment!
Thank you for an important reminder, Laura, in the Lady of Horns. I don't have a problem with patience, but I do have a problem stepping back, giving others breathing space, remembering that I don't have to sort EVERYTHING out all the time. Rx
