In the cards this week: Sunshine

With a side of self-awareness

I love it when the pair of cards for the week doesn’t look like a “matched pair” at first glance, but then I contemplate for a bit and see the connection.

In this case, the two cards balance each other. The Sun is all about good things happening - not necessarily material things (though that can be the case, too) but an internal sense of rightness, happiness, fulfillment… like you’re in the right place doing the right thing. You’re going with the flow, or perhaps the flow is going with you!

That’s great, but that sensation can lead to a level of confidence that allows us to push our own ideas and biases onto others in a way we might not normally do. So the Lord of Labryses is a gentle reminder that we can “beam” without demanding that everyone else do exactly as we’re doing. There are many ways to be fulfilled, and it’s OK if we all do it differently.

Speaking of feeling fulfilled, I was delighted this past week to discover two brand new video reviews of my Minoan Tarot deck. Both of them give you live views of most or all of the cards plus some fun commentary.

I don’t know what happened to create this kind of synchronicity, but I’m certainly enjoying it!

Lord of Labryses: Being decisive is often good. It can help move you forward, help you get to where you want to go. Just pay attention and make sure you're not being impatient with the people around you who aren't as decisive as you. And be aware that you're a fallible human being. No matter how sure you are that your current decision is the right one, if new information comes to light, you'll need to reevaluate.

The Sun: Time to shine! Believe in yourself and allow yourself to enjoy the good things life has to offer. New understanding may come to you, and you begin to feel more alive. Take the time to appreciate what's happening so your light can help others, too.
