Tarot cards are really good at offering helpful life advice, whether or not we want to hear it!
This week, the first card gives me hope. Some of the ways in which I’ve been feeling stuck may finally let go and allow me to move onward. I hope the same thing happens for you.
It’s often hard to tell whether feelings of stuck-ness (is that a word?) and stagnation are due to outside influences or just to our own apathy and jadedness. The Eight of Daggers tells us that at least some of it is due to circumstances beyond our control. It’s not all our own emotions eating away at us or blue-screening on us.
I feel like this is a helpful message: It’s not all your own fault. Yes, of course, each person is responsible for their life decisions. But sometimes, other people and situations bring forces to bear on our lives in ways we can’t control. We’re not alone in the world; there are interconnections that affect us all.
Maybe other people have finally shifted in their lives, giving you room in yours. Or maybe larger forces at work in the world have altered in some way that makes room for us to alter course and move onward.
That’s good news.
The Seven of Labryses then offers us some advice for how to do that moving forward that we’re so eager to do.
Cooperation. Diplomacy. Compromise. Yet another reminder that we’re not isolated, alone, but instead are connected with other people and larger forces in the world.
It can be difficult to set aside ego and be honest with ourselves about any given situation. We all tend to create mental images of how we expect, hope, or want our lives to go.
That’s good — it helps us focus on our goals and give weight to our hopes and aspirations.
But sometimes, you have to focus on where you want to end up instead of how you get there. The method of transportation (so to speak) may not be what you were expecting or hoping for, but this card says there is a way to get where you want to go.
It’s just a matter of accepting what’s actually in front of you, even if it’s not what you were hoping for.
A ratty old city bus or a borrowed bicycle will get you to the park just as well as a limousine will.
I wish you peace and safety in all your journeys, both literal and metaphorical.
This week's Minoan Tarot cards:
Eight of Daggers: Time to get moving! You may have been feeling stuck or stagnant; that happens sometimes. But obstacles are being released, communication is flowing, and it's time for action.
Seven of Labryses: Cooperation and diplomacy will help you get what you want out of life. In fact, they may be the only way to achieve your goals. Be honest with yourself and set your ego aside so you can work with what you have available. It may not be exactly what you want, but with patience, it will get you where you want to go.

Excellent reading; thank you. Insightful. I wrote about release in my solstice poem this year!
The stars are challenging, with warrior planets Pluto and Mars pushing strife situations on the worldwide stage as well as in many of your individual lives.
Your words on compromise etc are wise.
Joyful festivities to you, Laura; and blessings. Rx
